Afterlight is a dreamlike, pensive passage into the past where early 20th C photographs, dolls, and doll furniture represent my familial and collective past. Carefully placed bodies of deceased native bird species charge the image and warn of an uncertain future. These unsuspecting moments of our settler past hold the values, beliefs, and habits that have carried us forward into the Anthropocene.
